Body Alignment

How about body alignment when shooting prone? I've always tried to be as straight as possible behind the rifle. I have seen others at angles, which doesn't work well. Why? because you will move under recoil, especially after successive rounds are fired. Then your NPA is off, and you are contorted. Also, you won't be able to see a thing if your body kicks around sideways under recoil. Aligning straight will help you spot your own shots at longer ranges as you will stay on target.
Try it and see, please post your results !

I agree. I tested this out a while back and have found that I'm more consistant with my body straight back and ankles down on the ground, instead of up in the air with my toes on the ground.
Of course all of this can be difficult to achieve when "out in the field", so one needs to practice shooting from a variety of awkward positions.
